Ringside ("Ringside," "we," "us") is a phone-answering service operated by Ky Ramzy. These Terms govern your use of Ringside's website (ringsidephone.com) and the AI phone assistant service (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to do so.
Ringside answers calls to a phone number you route to us -- typically your existing business line's "unanswered" or "busy" forwarding -- using an AI voice assistant. It's important you understand exactly what that means: every call handled by Ringside is answered by an artificial intelligence, not a human employee or call-center agent. The assistant has a real spoken conversation with your caller (built on third-party AI and text-to-speech services -- see Section 5), collects the caller's name, callback number, and reason for calling, and sends you a summary by push notification, email, and/or text message. When a call exceeds your plan's monthly AI-answered-call allowance, or your subscription has lapsed, Ringside degrades gracefully to a plain voicemail box rather than dropping the caller.
California law (Penal Code Section 632) requires the consent of every party to a call before it's recorded, and treats an AI voice agent posing as a human as a real problem, not a gray area. So:
As the business using Ringside, you're responsible for making sure your own use of the Service -- including which number you route to us and any additional recording you enable -- stays compliant with the recording and consent laws of the states you operate in and call into. Ringside gives you the disclosure mechanism described above; it isn't a substitute for your own legal judgment about your specific business and jurisdiction.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the business information you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for everything that happens under your account. You agree not to use Ringside for anything illegal, to harass or deceive callers, to impersonate a real person, or to route numbers to us that you don't have the right to use. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to commit fraud or abuse the Service.
Ringside stores the text transcript and AI-generated summary of every AI-answered call, and the audio recording of any voicemail left with us, so that you can review what happened on a call you missed. This data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account or ask us in writing to delete your data, we'll delete your stored call transcripts, summaries, and recordings within 30 days, except where we're required to keep billing records longer for tax or legal reasons. Ringside is built on top of several third-party providers who necessarily process parts of your calls and account data to make the Service work: Anthropic (the Claude AI models that power the assistant's conversation), ElevenLabs (the text-to-speech voice), SignalWire (telephony -- routing and, where applicable, recording calls), Stripe (payment processing), and standard email/SMS delivery providers for notifications. We choose reputable providers and only send them what's needed to operate your account, but your use of Ringside means this data necessarily passes through those providers' systems too, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly subscription through Stripe. New accounts start on a free trial; if you don't cancel before the trial ends and you've added a payment method, the subscription begins billing automatically at the plan's listed rate. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing page -- cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. We'll give reasonable notice by email before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.
Ringside is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the Service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI assistant will always correctly understand or relay every caller's message -- phone audio, accents, background noise, and speech-recognition limits are all real-world factors outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ringside and Ky Ramzy are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost business or missed calls) arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
You may stop using Ringside and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms, non-payment, or suspected abuse or fraud. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, though your data-deletion rights under Section 4 continue to apply.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll notify active customers by email. Continuing to use Ringside after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
